I loved the first book, but Reactivated takes Harrison's story to another stratosphere. When the shadowy Accord pulls Harry back into service, what starts as an investigation into bizarre political assassinations in London, Berlin, and Rome turns into a massive, multi-continental manhunt. The concept behind 'Sereleyne'—weaponizing everyday psychiatric patients through deep suggestibility—is terrifyingly believable. Burford keeps the technical details crisp and the pacing relentless.

Ian Burford's Reactivated is a razor-sharp espionage novel that functions seamlessly on its own. The plot surges into motion when former operative Andrew "Harry" Harrison is recalled to investigate bizarre, hypnotically induced assassinations across Europe. Uncovering Sereleyne—a sinister drug enabling deep psychological manipulation—Burford delivers a relentless hunt from Rome to Los Angeles. With gritty tradecraft and accessible world-building, it stands as a high-octane, gripping read for any action fan.
