RED217
An Andrew Harrison Adventure
RED217 A Deadly Secret. A Race Against Time. A Weapon That Cannot Be Stopped.
Synopsis
In the war-torn streets of Gaza, aid convoy driver Mike Bennett stumbles upon a terrifying anomaly: 144 stolen water bottles, 140 deaths from a haemorrhagic illness that claims lives with ruthless efficiency.
When Mike teams up with private security contractor Andrew “Harry” Harrison and brilliant immunologist Myah Willis to investigate, they uncover a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of power. The trio discovers “RED217,” a genetically engineered bioweapon designed to target specific DNA markers, turning a harmless virus into a lethal executioner. Orchestrated by the shadowy Michael Letbourne, the project is a “murder-for-hire” service for governments and corporations seeking to erase opposition without a trace.
From the ruins of Rafah to the corridors of Whitehall, the team is hunted by professional assassins as they race to expose the truth. With a new, massive deployment planned for the United States, Harry must navigate a web of betrayal and violence to stop a genocide before it begins. But in a world where water can kill and trust is a luxury, how far will Harry go to ensure justice is served?.

Chapter one
An extract from RED217
The forklift driver shoved the lever forward, lowering the final plastic-wrapped pallet onto the trailer floor with a heavy thud. He nudged it deeper into the gloom of the container, finalising the load.
Standing on the edge of the loading dock, Mike Bennett watched the operation with a tightness in his chest. He glanced skyward, exhaling a long, slow breath. The feeling of relief was palpable.
“I still can’t believe this,” Mike said, his voice rough with emotion. He rubbed a hand across his face, clearing the fatigue. “You have no idea what this means. This is going to people who have nothing. This isn’t just water, it’s a lifeline.”
He extended a hand to the operations manager who had supervised the loading. The manager took it with a firm grip. “You’re very welcome, Mr Bennett. On behalf of all of us here, we wish you a safe trip. Let’s hope for a swift arrival.”
Mike stepped back as the heavy trailer doors swung shut. He watched the metal security seals click into place, a promise that the cargo would remain untouched until it reached the people who needed it most.
As the Volvo truck released its brakes with a sharp hiss and began to pull out of the bay, Mike turned toward his own car. “You don’t realise what a difference you’ve made!” he called out over the rumble of the engine.
The operations manager stood on the dock, watching the convoy pull away until the taillights disappeared around the corner. His expression, previously warm, went blank. He slid his phone from his pocket and opened an encrypted messaging app. His thumbs moved quickly, typing just three words:
Package is away.
