An Andrew Harrison Adventure
Former Royal Marines operative Andrew Harrison thought he was done. Retirement was supposed to be final. But when a series of seemingly random political assassinations rocks Europe – London, Berlin, Rome – the Accord reactivates him for one last mission.
Synopsis
Former Royal Marines operative Harry Harrison is dragged back into the shadows of the Accord, a clandestine international agency built to police rogue states, to investigate a rash of seemingly random political assassinations across Europe. What he uncovers is a chilling conspiracy: a right-wing extremist faction known as the Founders Trust has weaponized Sereleyne, a psychological drug capable of deep hypnotic control. By turning vulnerable therapy patients into unwitting sleeper assassins, the Trust has already compromised judges, senators, and intelligence officials through ruthless blackmail. Dubbed Operation Pale Crown, the plot is simple yet devastating: manufacture domestic terrorism, dismantle progressive politics, and install authoritarian regimes worldwide.
But the deadliest threat is pulling the strings from the inside. Sir Alistair Thorne, head of the UK’s Joint Intelligence Committee and a leader within the Accord itself, is pulling the strings for the enemy.
When the conspiracy strikes back, Harry’s world shatters. His handler is killed, his trusted analyst, Dan Smith, is captured and brutally tortured, and a global kill order is slapped on Harry’s back. Forced to evade the very agency he once served, Harry must wage a desperate rogue war. His only lifeline is Myah Willis, a brilliant medical researcher who holds the key to neutralizing Sereleyne, alongside a fractured handful of operatives willing to risk everything for the truth.
From the streets of London to the high-rises of Los Angeles, the chase culminates in a daring, high-stakes raid on a secure facility hidden deep inside the Shard. To save Dan, Harry orchestrates a frantic rescue mission that blows their cover wide open. With nowhere left to hide and the clock ticking down, Harry forces the immediate, global publication of the conspiracy’s evidence—triggering a wave of international raids that arrest Thorne and bring the Founders Trust to its knees.

Chapter one
An extract from Reactivated
Jamie Carter stepped out of the clinic into the afternoon light, squinting as his eyes adjusted to the brightness of the street. For the first time in weeks, he felt lighter. Not happy, exactly, but steadier, as if a gear deep inside had finally clicked into place.
He’d lived with depression for most of his adult life. The pills helped. Therapy, less so. He’d never seen the point of talking through his problems. To him, the only thing that mattered was getting through the day. Dissecting his feelings in front of a stranger felt like picking at a scab: painful and pointless. But his mother had pleaded, her eyes red-rimmed with tears, and Jamie didn’t have the heart to disappoint her. So he went every Thursday, at the same time, in the same room, enduring the same weary routine.
Until today.
Today, a new therapist appeared: Dr Keller. He had a calm voice, a sharp suit, and eyes that didn’t blink quite fast enough. Jamie gripped the door handle as panic rose, urging him to flee. But the doctor’s reassuring tone pulled him back from the edge. His grip slowly loosened as he stepped onto the deep carpet.
Keller had a different approach. He abandoned the usual endless talking in favour of something new, something he claimed would be more effective. Jamie had never tried hypnotherapy. The word alone made him think of stage tricks and swinging watches, cheap theatrics. But Keller’s voice was low and certain, and before Jamie could object, he sank into the chair, his breath slowing.
The doctor administered bitter drops that made him grimace. The metallic taste tightened his jaw before calm enveloped him, washing over him in gentle waves. He sank deeper into the warm pool of the doctor’s suggestion, his mind growing heavy and dull.
When the hour ended, Jamie felt transformed: clear-headed and focused. It was as if someone had swept the clutter from his mind, leaving it clean, orderly, and sharp.
He walked home with a quiet certainty that everything would be fine. He barely registered the heavy sag of the rucksack on his shoulder. He couldn’t recall Keller’s final instructions, words murmured just before Jamie awoke, leaving him with a vague sense of missing time and a dull headache.
Inside the bag, hidden beneath his dog-eared notebook and water bottle, lay a Browning 9mm pistol. Loaded. Silent. Waiting.
