Music
People have noted that there are a couple of bands named in the book and asked why these particular bands warranted a name check. The short answer is that they were the ones I was listening to during the process. Not while I was actually writing, but in downtime when I considered the machinations of Letbourne or how Harry would react in a specific situation.
So, here they are;
Hand of the Tribe is a musical entity formed by seasoned musicians Dave “Henrock” Henriquez (Vocals, Guitar), Roger Colella (Bass, Backing Vocals), and Paulo Teixeira (Drums). The band emerged from a shared passion for music and a desire to create powerful, emotionally charged songs. They have a rich history of touring with notable bands such as Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin, and Sevendust, which has contributed to their credibility and talent in the rock music scene.
SpaceAcre are a band I found on Facebook, and they were immediately very catchy and great to listen to. They have a great debut album that I am the proud owner of, and are endlessy listenable. SpaceAcre are fast-solidifying their reputation as one of the UK’s most thrilling new acts.
Of course, with a song called Pathogen how could they fail to capture my attention. Listen here.
Who doesn’t know about Wet Leg – Chaise Longue was a huge hit for them, and they followed up with two great albums. Great to listen to and very entertaining visually. I love to see them perform live.
One of my favourites – Mangetout
Marie Ulven Ringheim – known professionally as Girl in Red, is a Norwegian singer-songwriter and record producer. Her first EPs Chapter 1 (2018) and Chapter 2 (2019) were recorded in her bedroom and feature songs about romance and mental health.
Does a great wall of death and Myah loves them!
